"Iconettes" Original Saint Portraits by Susan Howard

Painted in the style of religious icons, these evocative miniature portraits focus on the expressiveness of their subjects.   "Iconettes" are not icons, which serve as sacramental in the Catholic and Orthodox Churches and adhere to strict rubrics of form, symbolism and materials, but rather they are suggestive of such, merely a style of art that I nonetheless hope brings viewers a sense of peace and contentment as they contemplate the love of God through His most holy saints.  God bless! ~ Susan Howard
